We have been vacationing on the island every year for over 30 years and this was by far the best stay yet! Wonderful view and sunsets. Friendly, helpful staff and the room was great with all the amenities we needed. We will definitely stay there again.

Enjoyed a beautiful 4 day stay here for a father daughter retreat. This gorgeous inn offered every amenity and the staff so friendly. We enjoyed afternoons watching dolphins and manatees beachside and evening sunset from our deck. The unit was perfect for us. Loved it and we will be back next year.

Amazing describes everything about our trip and stay. The condo was so so clean. The views and location were perfect!
When we arrived the condo was supplied with everything you needed to start your trip. I used grocery delivery from Publix. (Wow- fastest delivery I’ve ever had). Prior to arriving we used Beach Bums to set up beach chair and bike delivery. Next year we won’t have bikes delivered bc Main Sail has plenty to use. The condo also came with a beach umbrella so leave that off the list too.
Can’t wait to go back next year! Missing the amazing sunsets!

Loved the amenities and the location of the Mainsail. Stared in the same unit last year. The unit could use some updating, especially the living room and dining furniture. On site staff was very good and accommodating.

We loved everything about our stay (Unit 5) at Mainsail! We loved it so much, we booked it again for next year! Beds were comfortable. Clean unit. A few more glasses, plates, ect would have been nice, but not a deal killer. Would recommend Mainsail to anyone!

We stayed in unit 5B. Great beachfront spot with a wonderful view of the ocean. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely come back. Staff was great and the place was clean. Two things to note:
The one (old and janky) gas grill on the property did not work properly. We utilize a grill almost daily when we travel to FL, so this was a huge bummer. It was disappointing that a place like Mainsail Inn didn't have a decent working grill.
The beds were decent, but not great. We slept fine, but if you like a firm bed, these are not for you. At the end of our trip, I noticed underneath the bed that all the center supports had given out. So be prepared to sink to the middle of the bed. It wasn't completely uncomfortable but just seems like old worn in mattresses.
Again, we'd definitely stay again. We loved the location and everything else about our stay!

This was our fourth visit over the years and as always it never disappoints us. We love staying at Mainsail as it’s has a very homely feel. The accommodation is very comfortable, spacious and has everything we need during our stay. The views from our balcony are the best I have ever seen and it’s right by the beach. Definitely will come again.

We have stayed at the Mainsail several times in the last 7 years. We love the location and Gulf Front views! Some of the furnishings are showing wear and need replaced/updated. We appreciate the attention to detail by the cleaning crew! We look forward to our next stay! ��

Clean and comfortable place with elegant staircase entry area. The staff I dealt with were very personable and helpful (Matthew and Rhoda).
Only drawbacks are how narrow the balcony is on the oceanfront units and the second bedroom has no true window.

This was our 7th trip to Mainsail , although it has been six years since our last stay . After an extended absence we decided to come back .
The location on the beach is second to none and it is very quiet and peaceful . We enjoy having a full kitchen which gives us the option to eat in as opposed to dining out. The beds are comfortable & our unit was very clean . The only thing negative is the attention to detail needs some attention . Some paint touch ups and new caulking around the sink would clean it up , and the dining room chairs need to be reupholstered. Other than those minor details we will definitely come back .

The reason my overall stay is a 4 is because the Kitchen could be stocked with a little bit better cookware. The iron had no cover where you fill it up with that leaked out on the clothes. The ironing board is extremely low grade that when you ironed a shirt on the narrow end you had to hold it up. The couch needs to be cleaned.

We have been returning to the Mainsail since the year it was built. The property's management team are top notch! Friendly, caring, attentive, responsible and professional. The property is in great shape with only a few spots that need attention (as is true for every beach property everywhere.) It is obvious the inn is well cared for. It is always spotless and smells great. A special thanks to Matthew, John and their coworkers who are lovely! Cannot wait to return.

We loved our stay here!!! There were a few minor mishaps, but those are to be expected! We would go back anytime! It is a smaller place, so we had some trouble figuring out when chairs were unlocked and when they weren’t, but there are so many floats and noodles and other things they allow you to use, it was overshadowed! The coffee pot was a little wonky and we had to have them come look, and the dryer would randomly go off, but we learned it was when it was too hot. Being on the water and the charm of the building, along with our VERY OWN PARKING SPOT, was an absolute dream and we plan to be back! Super, SUPER comfy beds!!!

On April 10th I was assigned to visit Mainsail properties on Ana Maria Island. The host property was the Mainsail Beach Inn located directly on Holmes Beach. It’s an exquisite property of 12 condominium units with 2-3 bedrooms. I was impressed by the well-maintained structure as well as the pool area and surrounding grounds. I also toured Waterline which is a Mainsail Property on the water but not beach front. This too was impressive, and my one comment would be adding potted palm trees and other tropical plant to enhance the resort ambience of the pool area.

Everything was satisfactory except inconsiderate neighbors in unit upstairs. This is a building with wooden structure between floors. Two different residents over two weeks dragged or pushed furniture several times each day, thus creating tremendous noise.

We were very happy with our choice to stay at Mainsail Inn. After hours of internet searches and never having visited AMI, I decided on this property amd crossed my fingers. Well, it was just as we had hoped...beachfront, spacious, and lots of included amenities like bikes and beach chairs...which meant we could pack less for our long haul! Our family of four enjoyed a lovely stay at Mainsail Beach Inn ... the location is amazing and it can't be any closer to the beautiful beach. The lobby was a little unkept at times and the guests above us were unusually loud with small children. Our unit was very nice, and the managers (Mary and Manny) were outstanding, friendly and helpful. We would definitely return, but probably request a 3rd floor (top floor) unit so there would not be noise above us. Awesome place ... a great "find" on a gorgeous beach.

The accommodations at Mansell are very nice for the most part the furnishings are kept in good condition. Some where in tear from rental is showing. It is right on the beach which is nice. One bedroom faces the beach and that is awesome. The balcony is very narrow. The bathrooms are in great condition. I would never stay on the second floor again the noise level was horrendous. They cannot help the other patrons who are staying above you but children ran and jumped all night long. We are not sure if we are going to return to this beach rental. You have to bring the beach chairs down to the beach every morning and set your own umbrellas up. The beach chairs were quite heavy you also have to return the beach chairs in the evening. We had people use our beach chairs when we had left the beach for lunch. It would be nice if they had a beach chair service.

Our rental had a spectacular view of the gulf! You can’t beat it. Fabulous location and steps from the ocean. We loved the huge sliding doors and kept them open. The beds were really comfortable and it was clean and nice. The kitchen was nicely organized. Also, it was great to have use of bikes, paddle boards, and kayaks and the front desk crew is really great. The only criticism is that the sofa and chairs are extremely uncomfortable. It’s hard to believe. Our friends had warned us of that, I think they need be changed.

We had an awesome 4 days at Mainsail, loved the décor it was just beautiful!! The staff were very pleasant and I got some great restaurant recommendations from Dana at the main desk!!The beach staff very attentive and great service, cold water with fruit served on the beach, a lovely touch. Chairs and umbrellas included which were a must given the heat. Beds great for sleeping!! Quiet property. They had coffee supplies ready for you on arrival, cookies from the local bakery and a handwritten note!!Very quieting the building for sleeping. My only negative is that the furniture needed cleaning, the2 lovely occasional chairs were very dirty and the sofa had stains on it and was needing a cleaning. I was a little surprised that a picture in the hallway fell off the wall at sometime and was just put behind a bench and was never replaced the 4 days we were at mainsail. The patio door was also not fixed it remained on its side on the side patio.The sunsets were absolutely amazing
